Penn Nursing encourages student participation in extracurricular activities and provides support and funding through a number of different sources.

The School of Nursing provides funding for a variety of student activities, including student presentations at national and international conferences, as well as other student-led initiatives and programming. Student Conference/Travel

To apply for funding support from Penn Nursing for a conference, meeting, or workshop, please fill out our Request for Educational, Research, and Professional Activities Funding form.

In addition to Penn Nursing, students can also seek funding from the organizations listed below. We encourage you to contact them early in seeking funding. If you are a student on a grant-funded project such as Hillman, Jonas, RWJF, etc., please discuss funding with your program director before applying.

Event/Program Sponsorships

Diversity and Inclusivity is a core value of the University of Pennsylvania and Penn Nursing. As such, we seek to sponsor student-led initiatives and programming that is related to the field of nursing and is geared towards bringing people with different perspectives and life experiences together.

The request must include the following:

  • Student requesting the sponsorship
  • Dollar amount of request
  • Description of the program/event (up to 100 words)
  • List any funding requests placed with other organizations
