Transcripts & Diplomas

All diploma orders are handled through the Office of the University Secretary . Diplomas are issued three times each year, in May, August, and December. The diplomas of May graduates are mailed in July, the diplomas of August graduates are mailed in October, and the diplomas of December graduates are mailed in February.

Official transcripts are generated from the Office of the University Registrar  and may be requested online.

Students who graduated from Chestnut Hill, Episcopal Hospital Lankenau, Mercy-Douglass, or St. Joeseph’s Schools of Nursing should contact the Barbara Bates Center for transcripts.

Students who graduated from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) School of Nursing should contact UPHS Human Resources  for transcripts at 215-662-2191.

How to order a transcript if you graduated from:

With a written request, please include the following:

  • a written request for the specific record desired
  • authorization to release same name, address, and title of person to whom it is to be sent
  • include a check or money order in the amount of $2.00 for each transcript, made payable to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania

University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing

The Office of the University Registrar outlines the following:

Online: Class of 1988 or later can use Penn InTouch  to place orders and pay for transcripts using a Visa or MasterCard. To place an order, login to Penn InTouch  and click on the “Transcript” button.

Mail: If you do not have access to Penn InTouch or if you prefer to pay by check, please print out the order form , fill it out completely, enclose a check made payable to the “Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania” and mail it to:

Payment for transcripts ordered by students and alumni outside of the United States may be made by International Money Order (in U.S. dollars drawn on a U.S. bank).

In Person:
If you are on campus, or if you need ‘same-day’ service, you can bring the completed order form and payment to the Office of the University Registrar, during regular business hours.
