The 2018 Sayre Health Fair took place on April 14th at Sayre High School Field. Over 50 free community resources, carnival rides, dancing, health screenings, jazzy the clown, food and a ton of fun! Sayre Health Center is feels it’s the neighborhood family doctor’s office serving all ages- babies, children, adults, and seniors! Our nursing students attended to promote healthy living and wellness in their community.

Hahnemann’s Nurse-Midwifery practice was founded by two Penn graduates. Numerous Penn students had the opportunity to learn at Hahnemann, and some joined the practice after graduation.
Penn Nurses for Sexual and Reproductive Health recognizes the closure of Hahnemann as a major loss in access to reproductive health and choice in Philadelphia, and a devastating example of the priority of profit over the health of the community.
The Elizabeth Wright Fund—which gave Penn Nursing its first student exchange program—has its roots in a time when post-operative hospital stays were longer, and when private duty nurses attended patients in the hospital as well as at home after discharge.
