Associate Professor Emeritus of Nurse-Midwifery

As a nurse-midwife, Bill McCool cares for hundreds of pregnant women each year, and as a clinician educator and program director he is helping to send generations of nurse-midwives into clinical practice, thus helping to improve care for thousands of women.

Dr. McCool is director of Penn Nursing’s Nurse-Midwifery Program, a master’s program that focuses on developing nurse-midwives who are highly competent clinicians and advocates for their patients, as well as skilled managers and leaders within health care systems.
