Working as an ER/trauma nurse, they saw how our healthcare system regularly fails the most marginalized members of our society. As a queer healthcare professional, they seek to offer comprehensive, trauma-informed care to those who need it most. They dream of building networks centering an intersectional approach to harm reduction, health, and wellness for everyone.
Seeing and experiencing first-hand the need for providers invested in community care has driven me to want to become one of those providers!

It is a tie between the Penn Museum and the Morris Arboretum!

The Biopond and nature that surrounds it.

The most memorable moment I've had at Penn Nursing so far is...?
During undergrad at Penn Nursing, I had a very memorable cultural exchange in Oaxaca, Mexico as a global health scholar. Through the program, we had an immersive learning experience at the Instituto Cultural de Oaxaca. We also worked closely with En Via, a grassroots organization, to create and bring health workshops to rural indigenous women in a nearby village, Teotitlán del Valle.
What is something that you really like about your program of study?
Clinicals have been more incredible than I could have imagined!
What or who has inspired you the most while pursuing your degree, and why?
Seeing and experiencing first-hand the need for providers invested in community care has driven me to want become one of those providers!
