Nancy K. Etzel, MSN, RN, ACNP-BC, is Director of Global Pediatric Education at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She received her BA in International Studies and Spanish from Niagara University and earned her BSN and MSN from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. She has over 20 years of healthcare and education experience and has pursued a number of volunteer opportunities focusing on international and local community collaboration.

Nancy has practiced as a nurse practitioner in the division of Traumatology, Surgical Critical Care and Emergency Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, as a nurse practitioner in the division of Neurosurgery at Pennsylvania Hospital, and as a trauma and surgical critical care nurse at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She has educated nurses and nursing students in various capacities and locations, including as adjunct instructor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. In her role as Director of Global Pediatric Education at CHOP, Nancy works with visiting healthcare providers from around the world, facilitates pediatric education courses worldwide, and directs CHOP’s Online Pediatric Education Network.
