Elizabeth Prechtel Dunphy, DNP, RN, ANP-BC, AOCN

Advanced Senior Lecturer

Elizabeth Prechtel Dunphy DNP, RN, CRNP, BC, AOCN has been a nurse practitioner for more than 20 years. She received her undergraduate and master’s degree at the University of Pennsylvania and her DNP from Villanova University. Elizabeth is currently a gastrointestinal oncology nurse practitioner and Senior Advanced Practice Provider at the Abramson Cancer Center at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. In addition to her clinical role, she is an Advanced Senior Lecturer B at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. She is faculty with the Adult Oncology Minor/Post Masters Certificate program. She has been member of various committees for the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation including inaugural chairperson for Individual Learning Needs Assessment (ILNA) Development Committee for the AOCNP® ILNA Program. She has authored several articles and book chapters. She was co-editor of Guide to Cancer Immunotherapy (1st edition) and Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Guidelines and Recommendations for Practice (2nd edition) published by the Oncology Nursing Society. Lastly, she has presented locally and nationally on topics related to gastrointestinal oncology.

I have been a member of the Penn Community since my time as an undergraduate at the School of Nursing, and Penn has a special place in my heart. It is a wonderful place for students to grow and develop, and Penn provides a strong sense of community that promotes students’ best interests.
