Stephanie Acquaye

Bio

Stephanie joined the Hillman Scholars Program as an undergraduate student. She is passionate about supporting women throughout the perinatal period and has experience as a birth doula. After earning her bachelor’s degree from Penn’s School of Nursing in 2021, Stephanie took the opportunity to complete the Hillman Clinical Fellowship, allowing her to care for women at the bedside as a labor & delivery nurse. Stephanie is especially interested in understanding and addressing health disparities related to breastfeeding and is exploring the ways in which diverse, interprofessional care can abate some of these disparities. She is primarily advised by Dr. Diane L. Spatz.
