Amelia Schlak, BSN, RN, a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Future of Nursing Scholar, is a nursing outcomes researcher focusing on the contribution of nursing to improving patient outcomes that are of national policy interest and particularly those related health care delivery reform. She earned her BSN from the University of Florida (UF) and is currently working on her PhD in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in the Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research. Previously, Amelia worked as a research assistant in the NICU at UF Health regarding nutrition for premature infants and on a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation study about nurse practitioner scope of practice. Following graduation, Amelia worked as a bedside nurse at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center.
