Penn Nursing Alumni Share Tips for Success as a Health Care Consultant

Consultants (all Penn Nursing alumni) from PricewaterhouseCoopers and Guidehouse visited Penn Nursing on May 30, 2019 to participate in a panel discussion regarding skill sets important for success as a healthcare consultant.

They shared approaches for managing customer engagements, likely career opportunities and trajectories, and case studies regarding various projects. Nursing & Healthcare Administration (NADM) and Health Leadership graduate students asked many questions to gain insights regarding the benefits and challenges inherent in this field. All of the panel participants are alumni of Penn Nursing and PwC has offered select students in the NADM program an annual internship.

As Sue Keim, PhD, MSN, MS, CRNP, program director for the Nursing & Healthcare Administration and Health Leadership Graduate programs explained: “Every year we are lucky to welcome an alumni panel of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) healthcare consultants (from Senior Associate to Partner levels) who share their expertise with our Nursing & Healthcare Administration (NADM) and Health Leadership graduate students. This is an extremely valuable partnership which has resulted in many of our alumni attaining positions after completing internships at PwC!”
