King established the David & Eunice King Family Endowed Fellowship to provide financial support to a student or students in the accelerated BSN and/or MSN program at the School of Nursing, with the first consideration given to students in the accelerated BSN program.

“David and I donated to Penn Nursing to establish this scholarship, which will provide opportunities for aspiring nurses to receive an outstanding preparation for a career in nursing. Nurses are critical to improving the health of our nation, and this scholarship enables its recipients to obtain the excellent education they will need to improve the lives of others.” —Eunice Searles King

Eunice is a 1971 graduate of Penn Nursing’s BSN program and formerly served as member of the School’s Board of Advisors. David is a 1972 graduate of the College of Arts and Sciences. Although Eunice is the only nurse in the family, they have named this scholarship for the King family, all of whom are Penn graduates and appreciate the care provided by well-educated nurses.
