Canvas provides built-in tools that allow faculty and students to perform all of the tasks that support learning in an in-person classroom in an online environment. It’s easy for faculty to create quizzes, make readings or other media available, communicate with students, and receive and grade completed assignments. Students can participate in class discussions and collaborate with their colleagues. |

External, Integrated Tools |

Learning Tools Interoperability or LTI, are external tools that integrate with Canvas to provide additional functions like videoconferencing, lecture recording, and library course reserves.
