Two-step Verification

The Penn Nursing community is required to use Two-Step Verification for both their PennKey and Penn O365 email accounts. For more information, please click below:

Two-Step Verification for PennKey

To enroll in Two-Step, visit: https://twostep.apps.upenn.edu .

Two-Step Verification provides an added layer of protection when accessing PennKey-protected web sites and applications. With Two-Step, after logging in with your PennKey and password you’ll be prompted to verify your identity using a device in your possession, such as a mobile phone if using Duo.

Two-Step is easy to use and provides numerous verification options, so you’ll always be able to access your data – even if you’re not connected to cellular data or Wi-Fi network. With Two-Step, your data is protected, even if your PennKey password is compromised.

Two-Step Verification for Penn O365

You must first register your PennKey for Two-Step Verification before enrolling in Two-Step for O365.

Implementing Two-Step Verification for O365 is an important step to keep our information and email accounts secure from phishing and hacking attacks. With Two-Step for O365, you’ll log in with your email address and password and then use a device in your possession (such as a smartphone or keychain fob) to verify your identity to access your O365 email. Once authenticated, you will not be prompted to complete Two-Step Verification on that device for the next 30 days.
