Have you served in the Peace Corps? Would you like to become a nurse? Our Paul D. Coverdell Fellows Program provides funding to RPCVs.
Coverdell Fellows can enter the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) second degree accelerated program, designed for students who have previously earned other Bachelor degrees, or into several of our top Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) programs:
- Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
- Family Nurse Practitioner
- Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
- Women’s Health/Gender Related Nurse Practitioner
All Fellows complete internships in neighboring underserved communities while they complete their studies, allowing them to bring home and expand upon the skills they learned as volunteers.
Fellows selected for the program and enrolled as full-time students will receive a $10,000 one-time scholarship for the accelerated second degree BSN and an $8,000 one-time scholarship for the MSN program.
