Lecturer B

Colleen Haas Wlostowski is a Lecturer B and directs the simulation lab in the Nurse Anesthesia program at the University of Pennsylvania where she has been a faculty member since 2014.

Colleen began her nursing career at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, PA after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh in 2003. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Philadelphia and worked in the medical intensive care unit at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She loved the autonomy this unit possessed for nurses and immediately wanted to further her education in nursing. Colleen completed her MSN at the University of Pennsylvania in Nurse Anesthesia in 2008. Since then she has worked primarily at Pennsylvania Hospitals as a CRNA. Over the years, she worked diligently to care for patients in all surgical settings and found a love for mentoring and teaching new nurse anesthetists. Colleen believes that delivering anesthesia to a patient is an honor and teaching future nurse anesthetists of tomorrow is a blessing. In addition to her faculty position at the university, she has also become the head clinical coordinator at Pennsylvania Hospitals that serves 3 anesthesia programs.

Outside of work, Colleen enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, and traveling.
