Future Goal

I would love to become a pediatric primary care nurse practitioner, and to pursue an advanced degree in public health. I have hopes to be involved in nurse leadership and healthcare policy throughout my career!

Favorite part of my involvement with SNAP

Throughout my two years on the SNAP Board, I have been able to meet so many like-minded student nurses and nurse leaders. I am grateful for all the connections I have made through SNAP, whether it is with upperclassmen from Penn or other student nurses through NSNA!

Black Maternal Morbidity and Mortality - Beyond the WHY!

Black Maternal Health Week (April 11 - 17) is a weeklong opportunity to build awareness, activism, and amplify the voices of birth workers and Black mothers who have lived experience. We know why Black women and babies are dying during or after childbirth. Penn Nursing’s Center for Global Women’s Health, in collaboration with the National Coalition for 100 Black Women hosted a special panel presentation of dynamic birth workers and researchers who center the traditions of the reproductive and birth justice movements while discussing best practices and next steps in increasing the birth outcomes of Black mothers.
