Tracy Methered, MBA-HCM, BSN, RN

Tracy Methered is the Director of Clinical Informatics for the Hawaii Pacific Health System (HPH), which includes Straub Medical Center, Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children, Pali Momi Medical Center, and Wilcox Medical Center on the Island of Kauai.  Tracy helps bridge communication between clinicians, quality, and information systems.  She leads system implementation efforts for new clinical technology.   She facilitates multidisciplinary workgroups to help with decision-making, functionality, and updates within the Electronic Health Record across Hawai‘i Pacific Health.  Tracy also manages the submissions to the Getting Rid of Stupid Stuff (GROSS) project by collaborating with all disciplines.  She oversees a team of Clinical Informatics Registered Nurses. 

Tracy has more than 40 years of healthcare experience within HPH.  Her nursing career started as a licensed practical nurse clerk and progressed to a registered nurse in high-risk obstetrics before becoming a nurse leader.  She received her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Kapi‘olani Community College, then completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing and her master’s degree in health care administration from the University of Phoenix.
