Christine Polit, MPH

Christine Polit serves as the Executive Director of the Southeast Pennsylvania Area Health Education Center (SE PA AHEC), a non-profit organization with the mission to improve access to primary care in underserved communities through education and workforce development activities. Christine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. During her time as Unites States Peace Corps volunteer in Ecuador, Christine developed a passion for public health and went on to receive a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Rutgers University in New Jersey.

Christine has over 15 years of experience working with non-profit organizations in the Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia area. She is a Leadership Philadelphia alumna and an inaugural member of the

Leonard A. Lauder Community Care Nurse Practitioner Fellowship Advisory Board at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. At SE PA AHEC, she is dedicated to collaborating with regional health providers, partner community organizations, and educational institutions to support a primary care workforce prepared to provide high quality primary care in underserved communities in the Southeast PA region. Christine lives in New Jersey with her husband and their three children.
