SON Student Opportunities: Hong Kong & COIL

The office of Global Health Affairs held a virtual information session during which a presentation was given on the general information on the global opportunities available for Penn Nursing students. In addition to the general overview, this session had a special focus on two unique N5350 virtual global opportunities: Hong Kong and Multinational Exchange (COIL). The presentation hour included a question & answer session with Oulaya Louaddi , BSN ’24 and Kiara Perez, BSN ’26 who participated in the 2022 programs.

Hong Kong

This course offers students an opportunity to: 1) expand their knowledge base in health care systems; 2) develop intercultural competency skills and 3) shape a conceptual framework for improving the quality of health care for the individual, the family, the community and society at large. Emphasizes the relational, contextual nature of health care and the inseparability of the notions of the health of individuals and the health of family, society, and culture. Includes field experience.

COIL
