The presentation hour included a question & answer session with Mae Nagel, BSN ’25 and Tyler Weisgram, BSN ’25 who participated in the 2022 programs.

France
This guided independent study is an opportunity to obtain exposure to public health and healthcare in France. The 4-week experience in Paris consists of orientation, a course in comparative healthcare practices, visits to hospitals/clinics and public health related institutions, and an observership at a partner university teaching hospital tailored to students’ specific interests.

Mexico
This guided independent study is an opportunity to obtain an immersion experience that combines independent travel with the safety and security of Spanish language study and community health engagement arranged through the Global Health Affairs office at Penn Nursing with trusted local organizations in Oaxaca. The program includes: Spanish language immersion, cultural experiences, and community health/health education work.
