Hyunmin (David) Yu, MSN, RN, AGACNP-BC

Hyunmin (David) Yu is a PhD candidate at Penn Nursing. David obtained his BSN from Inje University in South Korea and furthered his education by earning an MSN in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at Penn Nursing. With 14 years of experience, he has served as a nurse in ICUs both in Korea and the U.S., most recently practicing as a MICU nurse practitioner at Penn Medicine. David’s research primarily centers on developing strategies aimed at mitigating health disparities among LGBTQ+ individuals within the healthcare system, with a goal to enhance their health equity and promote social justice.
