Alexandra Maye, MSN, RN
Alexandra Maye, MSN, RN is an NIH T32 Predoctoral Research Fellow in the Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research (CHOPR) and Fontaine Society Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. Ms. Maye aims to improve the overall nursing work environment through research that focuses on decreasing burnout, increasing retention, and increasing job satisfaction among nurses. Her research interests in improving both clinician well-being and the nursing work environment stem from her bedside and nursing school experiences where she observed how often she and her peers put their own health and mental wellness on the backburner while completing clinical rotations and caring for patients. Realizing the importance of a healthy work environment to her own practice as a nurse, she is an advocate for a safe workplace where nurses can thrive. Alexandra maintains clinical practice as a cardiac catheterization laboratory nurse collaborating with interventional cardiologists and the nursing STEMI team to care for patients experiencing heart attacks and cardiac abnormalities.
