Quote:

“As an Amy Gutmann Leadership Scholar, I’m looking forward to getting to know the other scholars in my cohort and determining how we can begin to work together as friends and colleagues to make a difference in this world as it relates to promoting health equity, social justice, and improving the health of marginalized vulnerable populations. I also look forward to learning leadership skills and strategies to combine my clinical skills with my newly acquired psychiatric mental health skills to build partnerships to assess, diagnose, and treat individuals as well as families with mental health disorders, or who may have the potential for developing them. Lastly, I look forward to learning how to design research questions regarding how to improve health equity and social justice to improve the mental health of marginalized black and brown people children, adolescents, and families around the world and how to partner with them to do it.
