Anessa Foxwell, BA, MS, MSN
Bio
Anessa Foxwell is a predoctoral student at Penn Nursing and a fellow in the NewCourtland Center for Transitions and Health. Anessa is a second-degree nurse who attended the Master’s Entry Nursing Program at DePaul University, then received her MSN from Penn in 2012. She started her nursing career at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania on an oncology unit, then joined the Inpatient Palliative Care Consultation Service as a Nurse Practitioner. During her clinical work, Anessa found herself providing support to clinicians who were distressed by clinical care. Her research focuses on exploring clinician distress while caring for those with serious illness.
