Austin Matus, BSN
Bio
Austin Matus is a PhD student at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in the Biobehavioral Health Sciences Department and Certificate Student at the Perelman School of Medicine Institute of Translational Medicine and Therapeutics. Mr. Matus holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boston College. His research investigates mechanisms and targeted therapeutics for the prevention and treatment of Hypoglycemia Unawareness in Diabetes Mellitus. His work aims to better characterize the role of sleep in this phenomenon and leverage emerging technology to promote hypoglycemia avoidance during sleep.
