Kierra Foley is a second-year PhD student and Hillman Scholar in Nursing Innovation.

Her work currently focuses on the health and wellness of LGBTQ elders with an emphasis on their experiences in accessing secure housing and receiving treatment in long term care settings. She currently assists on several research projects around improving quality of life for older adults with cognitive impairments and their caregivers. She has prior research experience coordinating studies looking at the experiences of patients in post-acute care settings as well as implementing in home activity-based interventions with older adults living with cognitive impairments and their caregivers to improve sleep quality.
