Gianluca Catania is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Health Sciences – School of Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Genoa, Italy. With a 13-year track record of high-quality research with over 30 publications in peer review international journals, Gianluca joined Penn Nursing’s Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research (CHOPR) as a Fulbright Scholar in September 2017.

His research interests include: implementing nursing-sensitive patient outcome measures in cancer and palliative care, staffing level impact on nurse and patient outcomes, and improving the quality of the informed consent process for subjects invited to participate in clinical trials studies.
