Tiffany Hsu completed an internship with the Bioethics and Ethics of Science Section at UNESCO this summer as a part of her community health clinical through the Penn Abroad Global Research & Internship Program (GRIP).

In this role, Tiffany was able to combine her interdisciplinary background of public health, human rights, and social justice to the complex, burgeoning field of bioethics including topics such as assisted reproductive technologies, artificial intelligence, and genomic editing.

Tiffany believes that it is essential for healthcare professionals to raise their voice in health policy and advocacy. She also strongly encourages all students to take advantage of opportunities to travel abroad and broaden their worldview.
