Born in South Korea and raised in Paraguay, Shi Eun is an international student in the ABSN cohort graduating this fall. During her talk, she will describe her multicultural background, her experiences as an international student in the US, and the contrasts in health and healthcare delivery she has observed in Paraguay, South Korea, and the US, particularly as they relate to the COVID-19 pandemic. To get a small flavor of what those contrasts can look like, see the story Shi Eun submitted to the Humans of Penn Nursing series regarding her experience in South Korea, at a time when centralized and coordinated public health measures were absent in the US.
