Center for the Advanced Study of India (CASI) Summer Internships
Course Description
The Center for the Advanced Study of India (CASI) offers fully-funded summer internship opportunities to full-time Penn students eager to explore modern India. CASI partners with nonprofit organizations and companies who work on a range of challenging contemporary issues, including public health, rural development, environmental sustainability, education, gender, and social enterprise.
Students pursuing careers in healthcare find particular value in internships with the Public Health Foundation of India (Gurgaon, Haryana) and with Aravind Eye Care System (Madurai, Tamil Nadu). The Public Health Foundation of India offers students an intimate window into India’s public health concerns, including diabetes prevention, school nutrition, and underage drug and alcohol consumption. Aravind Eyecare System offers students the chance to conduct research projects with doctors in an innovative healthcare model designed to cure needless blindness.
CASI Summer Internship opportunities are fully-funded through CASI and Penn Global, and last 8 - 10 weeks between May and August. There are no language or travel prerequisites for this program. Visit the CASI Summer Internships website for more information.
