Kristin Levoy
Kristin Levoy, PhD, MSN, RN, is a NRSA Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the NewCourtland Center for Transitions and Health at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing (Penn Nursing), sponsored by the National Institute of Nursing Research (T32NR009365-12). Dr. Levoy’s research interest is in patient and caregiver preparation for the end-of-life, an interest which arose from over a decade of nursing experience working with patients and families affected by cancer. Her research specifically focuses on the how preparation for the end-of-life across chronic illness trajectories impacts patient transitions to end-of-life care and caregiver transitions to bereavement. Her research has been supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Future of Nursing Scholars, and the American Cancer Society Doctoral Degree Scholarship in Cancer Nursing.
Dr. Levoy completed the BSN and MSN degrees at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the PhD at the University of Miami.
