Charisse Ahmed is interested in adapting, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based interventions to improve health outcomes among adolescents living with HIV in sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to becoming a Hillman Scholar, she conducted qualitative research among this population in Eswatini as a Fulbright student grantee. In the future, Charisse would like to provide clinical care to adolescents with chronic conditions and/or mental health disorders.
