Diane Humbrecht, DNP RN-BC
Dr. Humbrecht has been a nurse for 30+ years. In 2005, she was charged with implementing an evidence based, interprofessional EHR. Leading these efforts, Dr. Humbrecht pulled together an interprofessional team. Over 2 years, she developed and engaged them in learning different discipline’s scope of practice and utilized evidence-based clinical practice guidelines to understand each discipline’s role in caring for patients. Currently as the CNIO of Virginia Mason, she is responsible for combining both strategic and operational functions to support the mission of VM by leveraging the use of technology in practice. Dr. Humbrecht received her MSN from the University of Pennsylvania (UOP) and DNP from Vanderbilt University. She is past President of ANIA and is a lecturer in the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing DNP Program.
