Art and the Sexual Violence Healing Journey

The “red zone” refers to the period from mid-August to November when new students are most vulnerable to sexual assaults. Katherine Cambareri, MPH and Laura Sinko, PhD are public health practitioners and artists who use their talents to depict the healing journey of sexual assault victims/survivors.

Dr. Monique Howard, Senior Director of Women’s Health Initiatives, for the Center for Global Women’s Health moderated a discussion with Katherine Cambareri, MPH and Laura Sinko, PhD. The artists were also joined by Indira M. Henard, DSW, MSW, Executive Director of the DC Rape Crisis Center.  Watch the September 29, 2022 recording below.
