*UNDERGRADUATE OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE THROUGH A HILLMAN SCHOLARSHIP

Undergraduate students enjoy a wealth of opportunities and learning in research with funding from the Alex and Rita Hillman Foundation. The Hillman Scholarship is a BSN-to-PhD  program designed to educate a new cadre of nurse researchers. The Hillman Scholars Program in Nursing Innovation at Penn Nursing is a cutting-edge BSN-to-PhD program of research training. Through close mentorship and integration with active research teams, scholars participate in and generate new research. The program focuses on innovation, integration, and impact and features an annual conference bringing together scholars from the other program sites—The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and University of Michigan. Penn christened the first cohort of scholars in 2011.
