The Penn Nursing Renfield Foundation Award for Global Women’s Health

Hilaria Supa Huamán, Director of Mosoq Pakari Sumaq Kawsay (New Dawn for Good Living Healing Center), is a Peruvian politician and human rights activist. She will receive the 2024 Penn Nursing Renfield Foundation Award for Global Women’s Health for her lifelong dedication in advocating for the rights and well-being of Indigenous women in Peru, most notably in her fierce work against the forced sterilization that took place in the late 20th century.

13th Annual Powwow: 30 Years of Empowering Native and Indigenous Voices

Our Natives at Penn students and the GIC are hosting the 13th Annual Penn Powwow this Saturday, March 23rd, from 11am-5pm in the Hall of Flags, Houston Hall. We hope to see some of you there as we celebrate 30 Years of Empowering Native and Indigenous Voices on Penn’s campus as well as the GIC’s 40th Anniversary!
