Financial Aid

We know that applying for financial aid can feel intimidating at times, so we are here to assist you through the application process as well as throughout your time here at the School of Nursing. 

Announcement: New Penn Nursing COVID-19 Scholarship

Penn Nursing COVID-19 Scholarship Fund, created as an emergency source of financial aid for our students facing financial hardship related to the global pandemic. If you have been affected by the coronavirus, you can submit an application for the Covid-19 Scholarship that was announced here.

In order to apply you can write an email to Antoinette Oteri (oteri@nursing.upenn.edu) explaining the financial hardship that you are facing due to COVID-19. The email you provide will be your application. If you have any supporting documentation to show your hardship, please can send that with your email to support your request for funding. Your application will be taken to the scholarship committee for review. Just be sure to make the subject line of your email “COVID-19 Scholarship Application.”

Announcement: CHOP Employees are now eligible for the Penn Nursing - Penn Medicine/CHOP Scholarship Program

Students eligible for this scholarship are enrolled in either a full- or part-time MSN or DNP nursing program, employed full- or part-time within Penn Medicine or the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Verification of employment is required at the time of application. You must complete 3 CU’s in a calendar year to be eligible to receive a scholarship for the cost of tuition of the 4th CU in the same calendar year. The scholarship award covers tuition for 1 CU and does not cover associated University fees.

The first step is to fill out your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Then be sure to visit our Undergraduate, Accelerated, Graduate (including DNP), and PhD financial aid pages for more details on the process for each program and any available scholarships and grants.
