Welcome to Penn Nursing.
There are so many reasons you might choose to become a Penn Nurse. Is it the prospect of studying with renowned faculty at one of the nation’s elite research universities? Or is it the access to world-class clinical and research opportunities? It could be our incredibly ambitious, tight-knit, and supportive student body. Or the fact that our alumni are leading nursing science and practice, and are changing the face of healthcare everyday, in every setting imaginable.
We hope you’ll join us.
Application for 2023 is closed. The 2024 application will be available in July 2023. Please visit our Application Deadlines page for all deadlines.
Undergraduate and transfer applicants
Traditional BSN applicants apply directly through Penn Undergraduate Admission but our admissions counselors are actively engaged in helping you figure out if Penn Nursing is right for you.
Accelerated program applicants
For transfers and students interested in our accelerated BSN Second Degree, Direct Entry BSN-MSN, and BSN-PhD (Hillman) programs, we handle much of the admission process in-house and have a few special requirements.
Master’s applicants
You’ll apply directly through the Office of Admission in the School of Nursing, but you’ll want to check your program of interest to see if it has any additional requirements.
Post-Graduate APRN Certificate program applicants
Nurse practitioners who are interested in earning certification in another NP specialty will apply directly with Penn Nursing’s Admissions office. Be sure to check the admissions page for any special requirements.
Certificate applicants
MSN-prepared nurses who are interested in our certificate programs will apply through the Office of Admissions in the School of Nursing.
Doctoral applicants
Our PhD, Post-Master’s DNP, and DNP for Nurse Anesthetists programs each have their own application deadlines and requirements. We are highly engaged with our doctoral applicants, and eventually require an interview for qualified candidates.
