Online Courses

Experience a Penn Nursing education from anywhere.

Part of the educational mission at Penn Nursing is to provide world-class nursing education for the broadest audiences possible. We accomplish this through community education, certificate programs, and—important for our non-local students—online courses.

NURS 637: Introduction to Research Methods and Design

This course examines the relationships among nursing theory, research, and practice, with an emphasis on research competencies for advanced practice nurses (APNs). We want to help students understand nursing research methods, to be able to evaluate research results for applicability, and to design projects for evaluating outcomes. Statistical techniques are integrated into the course and build on required undergraduate coursework.
