Penn Nursing > Teacher Education Program at Penn Nursing
What is the Post-Masters Teacher Education Program?

Few of us receive formal training as teachers. Yet every day, we are teaching. Whether it is client education, childbirth classes, hospice care, clinical preceptoring, or formal classroom instruction, teaching plays an enormous role in our lives.
That is why the UPenn Nursing Teacher Education Program has become a successful path for learning how to become an effective teacher. The program utilizes a comfortable mix of:
    • intensive learning sessions
    • mentoring
    • electronic resources
    • engaging learning activities

With an understanding of the special needs of adult learners -- and of people who may  not have been students for several years -- the program provides a flexible and fun learning environment providing either academic credit, or continuing education credits.

Nurses who complete the UPenn Nursing Teacher Education Program are eligible to become Certified Nurse Educators.  For more information, visit the National League for Nursingweb site.
