In keeping with the mission of Sigma
Theta Tau International in promoting nursing scholarship, we are interested in identifying
ways to encourage dialogue between nurse researchers in varying stages of development. We
would like to invite you to participate in identifying effective ways to promote and
stimulate this dialogue. Two forums within which this might occur include our newsletter
and the WEB page. We hope to disseminate the ideas generated by the membership of Xi
Chapter through these forums. Selected ideas generated thus far include:
- Sponsoring a chapter member in attending the national Sigma
Theta Tau Conference in partnership with a faculty member from the School of Nursing.
- Establishing a monthly on-line "chat session"
with a faculty member of the School of Nursing.
These and other ideas need to be discussed, planned, and
implemented. Those interested in working toward increasing dialogue, pertaining
to research and scholarship, between Xi Chapter members, should contact the
