You may also nominate yourself if you would like to run for office. These positions are 2-year terms, beginning July 1, 2008 and ending June 30, 2010. Descriptions of the positions can be found below. Please provide the name(s) of the person(s) you wish to nominate on the enclosed form and submit this form via the web, E-mail, fax or U.S. Mail. Nominations must be received by November 3, 2007 in order to be considered for the election.

Call for Nominations
Election 2008
I hereby nominate:
Position Descriptions
Treasurer shall:
1. Be custodian of the funds and may be bonded in an amount equal to three-fourths of the
worth of the chapter.
2. Be an ex-officio member of the Finance Committee.
3. Prepare a quarterly financial report and present a current financial report to the Board of
Directors at each meeting.
4. With the Finance Committee, prepare an annual budget for to the Board of Directors.
5. Prepare the Annual Chapter Financial Report and return to Headquarters by October 15.
6. Work with the accountant on the biennial audit and submit a copy to Headquarters.
7. Obtain and complete necessary tax forms for Internal Revenue Service.
8. For inductions, send international induction fees, membership acceptance forms and key
orders for new members to Headquarters to arrive at least two weeks prior to induction.
Faculty Counselor Shall:
1. Serve as a member of the Eligibility Committee
2. Use the Sigma Theta Tau International eligibility forms and procedures sent from
Headquarters each year. Review this process with the chapter Board of Directors at the
beginning of each year.
3. Prepare Eligibility Committee for the review process and conduct the legal review of
applicants for membership.
4. Present all eligible candidates to the Board of Directors and membership
5. Assist with membership election follow-up and induction of new members.
Nominating Committee shall:
1. Consist of at least three elected members.
2. The Nominating Committee members shall not be eligible for any elected office on the
ballot they are preparing.
3. The committee shall assist in leadership development by meeting with the Board of
Directors and learning the direction and goals of the chapter.
4. Recruitment is conducted throughout the year or biennium in order to prepare a ballot
with two candidates for each position. The committee shall secure the candidate’s
consent to serve, verify active membership in the chapter, prepare the ballot and send it
to the Board of Directors at least four weeks prior to the meeting when election is
scheduled to occur.
