Leadership Education in Neurodevelopment and Related Disabilities (LEND) Program Fellowship to Barbara Beacham
Barbara Beacham MSN, RN, Pre-doctoral Student, was selected by our colleagues at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia as a fellow in the interdisciplinary Leadership Education in Neurodevelopment and Related Disabilities (LEND) Program for the 2009-2010 academic year. Over the course of the fellowship, Barbara and other fellows from 8 to 12 professional disciplines will be involved in a broad range of activities to increase her knowledge of neurodevelopmental and other chronic pediatric conditions; improve her skills in family centered care, community partnerships, and participatory research; and enhance her leadership development. Dr. Janet Deatrick in the Family Community Division and in the Center for Health Disparities is her mentor.
