   SON Sources:

   P20 Hampton-Penn Center for Reducing Health Disparities
   Provides pilot funding to faculty and fellows with the goal of fostering the conduct of research designed
   to reduce health disparities.

   P30 Center for Nursing Outcomes Research (CNOR)
   This center grant supports the development of measures and methods for studying variation in patient outcomes,
   and applies them to the evaluation of the effectiveness of nursing care.  One of the cores provides pilot funds

   Hartford Center of Nursing Geriatric Excellence (HCGNE) Pilot Research Program and
   Frank Morgan Jones Fund
   These pilot funds are available to faculty, pre-docs, and post-doctoral scholars with a research focus in geriatrics,
   to serve as a catalyst for preliminary research and to enhance opportunities for submission of larger scale
   research grant proposals.  Click here for the application.

   ONR Jr. Faculty Pilot Awards and ONR International Research Pilot Awards

   Interdisciplinary Nursing Quality Research Initiative (INQRI)
   in Partnership with The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
   INQRI will generate, disseminate, and translate research to improve the quality of care provided in hospitals. 
   Faculty, post-docs, and doctoral students are eligible to apply.  Click here for the Call for Proposals. 

   University Sources:

   Penn Center for AIDS Research (CFAR)
   Penn-CFAR is one of 20 NIH-funded CFARs and includes HIV and AIDS investigators at Penn, CHOP, and
   the Wistar Institute. 

   University Research Foundation (URF)
   This is an intramural resource to support faculty research for a variety of purposes, including conference support.

   Payne-Cheyney EXPORT Center (PCEC)
   The goal of the EXPORT Pilot and Feasibility Studies Core is to stimulate innovative, interdisciplinary, intra/inter-
   institutional research that will increase the understanding of health disparities and potential ways to address them.
   Eligible investigators will be faculty.  Click here for the current Call for Proposals.

   Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics (LDI) Pilot Projects Program
   LDI conducts an integrated, collaborative research program in health care evaluation, delivery, economics,
   management, and policy.  LDI funds pilot studies in order to help senior fellows attract external support
   for large-scale studies.

   Institute on Aging (IOA) Pilot Grant Program
   The goals of this program are to support new faculty entering the field of aging, and to stimulate multi-disciplinary
   projects that focus the diverse expertise at the University of Pennsylvania toward aging research.

   Center for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships (CURF)
   CURF provides information, advice, resources, and support for Penn students seeking to become involved
   in faculty research or to initiate research projects of their own.

   Penn Undergraduate Urban Research Course, at the  Penn Institute for Urban Research
   This innovative research program pairs faculty conducting urban-focused scholarship with undergraduates that
   have an interest in developing research skills in a semester-long, credit-bearing seminar.  Selection is competitive.
