Transforming Urban Environments: Integrative Models to Build Healthier Urban Communities

This session is dedicated to how transforming urban environments fosters civic engagement, enliven environments and promote, develop and support women's health.  We will examine ways that urban environments affect the quality of life for women throughout the lifespan and discuss how urban planning and community design can spark social change, economic development, and improved health.  We will address gender related challenges affecting communities, families, and health and how women artists, public art, urban design, and greening positively impact behavior and hte health of urban communities.
