By Car
From the Northeast - via the New Jersey Turnpike South
Use Exit 4. Bear right out of the toll following signs to Philadelphia and Ben Franklin Bridge. After crossing the bridge take I-676 West, to I-76 East, the Schuylkill Expressway.
START DETOUR: Follow I-76 East to 30th Street Station Exit. Turn Right at the end of the exit ramp onto Arch Street. Follow Arch Street around and merge right onto John F Kennedy Blvd. Merge Right onto Market Street. Turn Left onto 34th Street to enter campus. Continue to follow 34th Street as it curves to the right and becomes Civic Center Blvd (you will pass The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia on the right). Turn right onto Osler Circle. The School of Nursing is straight ahead.
From the North - via the Pennsylvania Turnpike
On the PA turnpike, use Exit 326, the Valley Forge Interchange. Take I-76 East for approximately 17 miles. START DETOUR: Follow I-76 East to 30th Street Station Exit. Turn Right at the end of the exit ramp onto Arch Street. Follow Arch Street around and merge right onto John F Kennedy Blvd. Merge Right onto Market Street. Turn Left onto 34th Street to enter campus. Continue to follow 34th Street as it curves to the right and becomes Civic Center Blvd (you will pass The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia on the right). Turn right onto Osler Circle. The School of Nursing is straight ahead.
From the North via I-95 South
Use the I-676/Center City Philadelphia Exit. Follow signs to I-676 West, the Vine Street Expressway. Take I-676 West until I-76 East, the Schuylkill Expressway.

Use the I-676/Center City Philadelphia Exit which is approximately 7 miles north of the airport. Follow I-676 West, the Vine Street Expressway, until I-76 East, the Schuylkill Expressway. From I-76 West (DETOUR ROUTE)
Follow I-76 West to the 30th Street Station Exit. Make a left at Market Street. Take Market Street to 34th Street and turn left on 34th Street to enter campus. Continue to follow 34th Street as it curves to the right and becomes Civic Center Blvd (you will pass The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia on the right). Turn right onto Osler Circle. The School of Nursing is straight ahead.
From I-76 East (DETOUR ROUTE)
Follow I-76 East to 30th Street Station Exit. Turn Right at the end of the exit ramp onto Arch Street. From the West via the Pennsylvania Turnpike

Public Transportation
From the Airport (20 minutes)
South Eastern PA Transit Authority (SEPTA) - The Airport Express Train leaves every half-hour; use the University City Station Stop, adjacent to PENN's campus. Go to "Ground Transportation" in Baggage Claim for instructions for airport shuttle service. Taxicabs are also available.
From 30th Street Train Station (10 minutes)
Amtrak and SEPTA regional trains stop at 30th Street Station. Amtrak frequent service is offered to Northeastern cities including Boston, New York, Baltimore, and Washington. Commuter trains arrive from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. All are met by taxicabs.
Parking*
Parking at the School of Nursing is extremely limited and due to the adjacent hospitals, cars parked in unauthorized areas will be towed. Parking lots are available at the Penn Tower Hotel (34th and Civic Center Blvd), 34th and Chestnut Streets, and Franklin Field (33rd and South Streets). Limited metered parking is also available on streets throughout the campus.
From Penn Tower Parking Garage: Walk across the street towards The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, turning left and walking down Civic Center Blvd as it curves right. At the double driveway at Osler Circle, turn right. The building at the end of the drive is the School of Nursing. Turn right at the stop sign to walk to the front entrance of the building. It's about a three-block walk.
Walking
From College Hall
If you are walking from College Hall, walk up the hill and turn left onto the 36th Street walkway, crossing Spruce Street. At the T, walk right a few steps, then take the immediate left for a few steps, going through a glass pavilion. On the other side, the building facing you is Claire M. Fagin Hall, the School of Nursing. Turn left up the curving walkway to the front entrance. Someone will be at the front desk to greet you.
