Rosemary Polomano, PhD, RN, FAAN has been promoted to the rank of Professor of Pain Practice in the Standing Faculty-Clinician Educator track, effective July 1, 2013.
Dr. Polomano’s research focuses on the impact of pain prevention strategies on short and long-term pain outcomes. Recent research of hers has focused on the control of pain on combat wounds sustained by military service members and veterans.
Dr. Polomano is involved in clinical research with the
Philadelphia Veterans Administration Medical Center and the
Defense and Veterans Center for Integrative Pain Management. She has consistent funding from the Department of Defense and is an active member of the
American Pain Society’s Task Force. Dr. Polomano has been appointed to more than 10 national and international advisory boards, panels, scientific grant review committees and task forces.
