Cynthia Connolly, PhD, RN, PNP, FAAN has been awarded the Mary Adelaide Nutting Award for Exemplary Historical Research and Writing by the American Association for the History of Nursing, Inc.
Dr. Connolly, along with collaborators Janet Golden and Benjamin Schneider, were honored for their article “ ‘A Startling New Chemotherapeutic Agent’: Pediatric Infectious Disease and the Introduction of Sulfonamides at Baltimore’s Sydenham Hospital.
Dr. Connolly ‘s research analyzes the forces that have shaped children’s health care delivery and family policy in the United States.
The Mary Adelaide Nutting Award is given to recognize outstanding research and writing by an experienced scholar in nursing history.
