Administration and Leadership Programs

About our Programs:

At Penn nursing, we recognize that students have diverse interests in advanced administrative or practice leadership fields. Programs are tailored to allow students the opportunity to design a course of study to best suit their career goals. These programs are unique in that students complete coursework within the School of Nursing and other programs throughout the University.

The following graduate degree programs are offered:

This program draws upon the strengths of a top ranked School of Nursing and Wharton School of Business, and the Organizational Dynamics Program at Penn. Comprehensive in scope, this program emphasizes administration in diverse healthcare settings culminating in a practicum working with a nurse executive or consultant in your field of interest. Students may also elect to pursue the MSN and MBA dual degree program.

The School of Nursing offers this program for professional nurses who have the vision, creativity and intellect to change the course of healthcare. This program allows you unparalleled freedom to design the focus of your studies. Students may also elect to pursue various dual degrees: MSN and Master in Public Health (MPH) (16CUs), MSN and Master in Bioethics (MBE) (14 CUs) and the newly launched MSN and Master in Law (ML) in the Health Law Track (14 CUs).

Students separately apply to each school for dual degree programs and a plan of study is mutually developed with faculty from each program.

Students may also elect to declare a dual major within the School of Nursing and can combine an advanced practice clinical major with either an administrative or health leadership major. Students apply once to the School of Nursing but must be accepted to both majors.
