The School of Nursing, in partnership with Eclipsys Corporation and UPHS, is marking the start of installation of the Eclipsys Sunrise Clinical Manager & the Knowledge Based Charting system for their clinical labs and classrooms.

This software will expose Penn Nursing students and faculty to an electronic patient record and will bring evidence based information to the bedside to support decision making and documentation.

On Wednesday, January 14, 2009, the School will be hosting a kick-off event to celebrate the new system, including remarks from Penn and Eclipsys leadership and a live demonstration of the software. This event will be held from 4:00-5:30 in the Claire M. Fagin Hall Auditorium, and is open to all students, faculty, and staff of the School of Nursing, as well as members of the media.
